Site Use Disclaimer

Conditions of use of this web site

The following conditions of use apply to the entire web site hosted in the opalwave.com domain.  A link to this notice appears in the footer area of every page of the site and the access to and use of this web site implies full acceptance of these conditions.

Data protection and privacy statement

Please read this statement carefully as you should only use this site and submit information to us through it if you agree we may use any information made available in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may amend our privacy statement to reflect changes to our business, web site or to data protection legislation and so this privacy statement should be revisited on a regular basis to ensure you are familiar with its terms.

This privacy statement only applies to the web site hosted in the opalwave.com domain; this privacy statement will not apply to any Internet resources that are not hosted in the opalwave.com domain that you may access by following links from this site or otherwise, whether they refer to Opal Wave Solutions Limited in any way or not.

The privacy statement sets out (1) who we are and describes (2) the information we collect through the site (3) what we do with it (4) how you can find out more.

(1) Who we are

Opal Wave Solutions Limited is a company registered in England with company registration number 6465540.  Our registered office is in the United Kingdom at 4 Northlands, Wantage Road, Streatley-on-Thames, Berkshire RG8 9LB. References to "we", "us", "Opal Wave" or "Opal Wave Solutions" are references to Opal Wave Solutions Limited.

(2) Information collected about web site visitors

Log entries

All visitors to this web site will cause log entries to be created for each page or web resource requested by the web browser. This information is logged by most web servers. These log entries do not record information that readily identifies the visitor. It is possible to make enquiries about a visitor’s IP address (which is recorded), from which it may be possible to trace certain information, though such a trace is likely to end with the identity of the visitor’s Internet Service Provider. The log may also record the “referrer page” which is the page from which the visitor linked to the Opal Wave web site.

Log entries may be analysed by Opal Wave for several purposes, principally for statistical purposes (such as the number of web site visitors and the most popular pages) and for diagnostic purposes (to ensure the web server is running correctly).  Log information is not made available to parties outside Opal Wave Solutions Limited.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files which are often stored on your computer’s hard drive by web sites you visit to enable the site server to recognise who you are.

Examples of situations where the web server may need to place a cookie include when the visitor accesses secure, encrypted web pages (pages whose URL begins “https://”), or pages that must be visited in sequence, such as a multi-page form. These types of cookie may be deleted at the end of the web browsing session.

We may also use a cookie intended to remain in the visitor’s web browser cookie store, often called a “persistent cookie”. The purpose of these is to provide added functionality on our web site or to remember customised view settings the visitor has requested. These persistent cookies may store information that identifies you individually, such as your user name or a unique ID, but do not contain any information that personally identifies you, such as a name or address, unless for example you create a user name that gives this information. Persistent cookies may be deleted by the site visitor at any time, after which any setting or log-in information will need to be provided again.

Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies and you should be able to restrict or disable them if you wish by adjusting the settings on your browser. This will, however, affect your use of the areas of our site that use cookies.

We do not use techniques such as web bugs or hidden identifiers or other similar devices to gain access to information, store hidden information or to trace your activities. For more information about cookies and instructions on how to adjust your browser settings to restrict or disable cookies, see the Internet Advertising Bureau web site at http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

We will disclose your information to enforcement authorities if asked to do so, or to a third party in the context of actual or threatened legal proceedings or if otherwise required to do so by law.

Only authorised personnel and contractors have access to your information.

We will keep your information secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures against its unauthorised or unlawful processing and against its accidental loss, destruction or damage.

We will keep you on our mailing lists until you ask us to remove you from them.

Transfers outside Europe

Data protection legislation is harmonised throughout the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) which comprises the EU member states, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Countries outside the EEA do not generally have the same level of legal protection for personal information as those within the EEA.

If you are from outside the EEA, we will transfer that information to your home country or territory for the purposes set out in “How we use it” above. If you provide us with your information, we will assume you agree to this transfer.

If you are from the EEA, we will not transfer any personal information we collect from you outside the EEA.
